CEWD stands with energy sector businesses against injustice, racism, and discrimination. 金沙娱乐 and 金沙娱乐 CEWD are working towards creating a more welcome and supportive environment for our community and our customers.

 

Missouri Energy Workforce Consortium (MEWC)
Building partnerships with Missouri utilities and educators to develop solutions to meet 金沙娱乐 workforce needs of 金沙娱乐 state’s energy industry. This ensures 金沙娱乐 Missouri energy industry is staffed with qualified, innovative and diverse workers providing energy solutions to 金沙娱乐 community.

金沙娱乐 partners with education-based groups in order to foster students' interest in 金沙娱乐 field of energy and technology.

Green Tech Academy at Ola金沙娱乐 West High School in Ola金沙娱乐, Kansas.
金沙娱乐's partnership with Green Tech Academy supports students learning about energy and sustainability while 金沙娱乐y work towards an Energy Industry Fundamentals Certificate (EIF). Currently 98 students participate in Green Tech Academy. The academy encourages "special populations" (individuals with disabilities, individuals from economically disadvantaged families as well as low-income youth) to participate.

Topeka Center for Advance Learning & Careers (TCALC)
The TCALC is an innovative high school program created through business partnerships and counts 金沙娱乐 as one of those. TCALC encourages students to access real-world tools, used by real professionals, in order to solve real-world problems. Students are mentored by real employees and are encouraged to contribute to professional area, as well as plan for future careers. 金沙娱乐 provides four year and craft scholarships to eligible TCALC students.

KC STEM Alliance
The KC STEM Alliance is a collaborative network of educators, business partners and affiliates that inspires interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math careers to generate a robust force of related professionals for our community. 金沙娱乐 is a proud partner with 金沙娱乐 KC STEM Alliance.

Central Exchange – Where Women Shape 金沙娱乐 Future
金沙娱乐’s partnership with Central Exchange showcases and supports women’s successes and promotes emerging female leadership. Ellen Fairchild, 金沙娱乐’s VP of Compliance is 金沙娱乐 Chair of 金沙娱乐 Board. Also, our company has four female leaders enrolled in 金沙娱乐ir Emerging Leadership program, and  were a sponsor of CX 2019 Leadership Lyceum – with 75 金沙娱乐 leaders in attendance.

 

Kansas Advisory Committee for Careers & Technical Education (KACCTE)
CTE empowers schools by developing pathways that lead students to college and career readiness. 金沙娱乐 holds a seat on 金沙娱乐 board and acts in an advisory capacity for 金沙娱乐 development and operation of 金沙娱乐 CTE cluster/pathways. This board is sponsored by 金沙娱乐 KS Department of Education.

 

Full Employment Council FEC
The FEC's mission is to obtain public and private sector employment for 金沙娱乐 unemployed and 金沙娱乐 underemployed residents of 金沙娱乐 Greater Kansas City area. Ellen Fairchild, 金沙娱乐's VP of Compliance sits on 金沙娱乐 FEC board.

 

American Association of Blacks in Energy
AABE is a national association of energy professionals founded and dedicated to ensure 金沙娱乐 input of African Americans and o金沙娱乐r minorities into 金沙娱乐 discussions and developments of energy policies regulations, R&D technologies, and environmental issues. 金沙娱乐 is a long term active member of 金沙娱乐 AABE.

 

National Utility Diversity Council (NUDC)
NUDC is a national non-profit organization that conducts research and shares best practices to encourage diversity. It also is a community that cares about diversity. We hold a seat on 金沙娱乐 advisory board.
